FB post leads to arrests

Two burglary suspects identified with the help of social media were arrested Friday, Oct. 14.

“One of the suspects evidently felt enormous pressure from our Facebook post and kept calling dispatch (911) to see if he had a warrant. Once the investigating officer, Ptl. Mark Hershberger, had enough evidence, he secured a warrant and arrested the suspect (identified as Auston Daniel Scott Niffen, 21),” Perry Police Department (PPD) Capt. Gene Franklin said.
