Bishop will represent supervisor and canvassing board in referendum suit

The Taylor County Commission has agreed to allow County Attorney Conrad Bishop to represent Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland and the Taylor County Canvassing Board — in addition to the county itself — in a lawsuit challenging the legality of the local half-cent sales tax referendum the Taylor County School Board requested be on the 2026 general election ballot.
