Princesses and pirates ruled the day at the third annual Trunk or Treat held Saturday, Oct. 29. The streets of downtown Perry were filled with trick-or-treaters and their families taking part in the Halloween event. Crowd estimates topped several thousand. More than 35 “trunks” were set up around the square, stretching from Ellis Street to City Park and everywhere in between. Several group costumes caught the eye in passing: The Walking Dead’s leading man Rick Grimes, Michonne and a zombie child; a squad of Star Wars rebels; and visitors from The Wizard of Oz’s Emerald City.
