    30% of the county has already voted

    With a week remaining until Election Day on Nov. 8, more than 30 percent of Taylor County’s registered voters have already cast their ballot.

    According to Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland, as of Tuesday afternoon, 1,829 people had voted by mail while 1,922 had taken advantage of early voting. There were also four provisional ballots. This amounts to a 30.51 percent turnout so far.

    PHOTO: The Taylor County Home School Education League’s 4-H Club recently partnered with Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland to encourage people in the community to vote. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, Taylor County 4-H’ers will be holding signs at street corners and local precincts reminding people, “Your Vote Counts, Vote Today.”
