Individual assistance approved for Taylor County hurricane victims

More than two months after Hurricane Hermine wrought significant damage along the Taylor County coast, local residents can finally begin applying for individual assistance.

Taylor County, along with Manatee and Wakulla counties, was approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Wednesday, joining Citrus, Dixie, Hernando, Hillsborough, Leon, Levy, Pasco and Pinellas counties, which had already been designated for individual assistance.
