Some people join the military out of a deep desire to serve and protect.
Jeanne Harden didn’t have such lofty goals.
The 17-year-old just wanted a home–a place to stay and food to eat.
“So I had no idea when I made my decision to join, that the Air Force would give me so much more. It formed me into the person I am today,” Harden said, addressing veterans and their families who gathered at Forest Capital Park Friday for the annual Veterans Day Luncheon.
