Trump carries Taylor; Montford re-elected

In addition to the local races voters were asked to consider in last week’s General Election, a number of state and federal races were also decided,
including selecting the United State’s 45th president.

In the presidential race, Republican Donald Trump easily carried Taylor County on his way to picking up the State of Florida and ultimately securing a majority of the electoral college votes to win the presidency over Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.
