Legislature could allocate $1.5 million to canal dredging here

With the Taylor County Commission continuing to work on securing funding to dredge the county’s public canals, an appropriations bill has been filed in the Florida House which would provide $1.5 million toward the project.

House Bill (HB) 2705 was filed by Rep. Halsey Beshears on Feb. 8 and has been referred to the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee, which has yet to take action on the legislation.
