Gear murder trial slated for late April

One final round of depositions later this month and the murder case against Billy Gear will be ready for trial.

That was the news during a pre-trial hearing held Monday morning before Circuit Judge Greg Parker. Gear’s attorney, Robert Baker III, said they would know whether or not to proceed with a late-April trial date by the next motion day, slated April 3.
