Local Payless to close

Perry’s Payless ShoeSource store is one of nearly 400 the company will be closing after filing a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization this week.

Payless announced the filing Tuesday and released a list of affected stores on Wednesday, which included the Perry location as one of 17 in Florida scheduled for closure.
