Keaton pier will be re-built at same location

The Taylor County Commission is moving forward with replacing the pier at Keaton Beach’s Hodges Park that was destroyed by Hurricane Hermine.

The board agreed last week to advertise for bidders to complete the project, which will include the demolition and removal of the remaining structure and construction of a new pier and pavilion to be built in the same location.
