“Three bodies found in Taylor sinkhole”
It was the sixth headline down on the front page of the Aug. 11, 1977, edition of the Perry News-Herald, which also featured several stories documenting dire financial problems at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital.
At the time, no one except those directly involved in the slayings knew the case, which began here when two local divers discovered the bound and weighted bodies in a remote sinkhole near Goose Pasture, was linked to drug trafficking in Bay County.
