Last of infamous ‘sinkhole’ murderers granted parole

David Monroe Goodwin, 70, was granted parole Wednesday and will walk out of prison a free man May 2–the last in a line of conspirators tied to one of the most talked about murders in Taylor County’s history.

Known in Bay County as the “Sandy Creek murders,” locals know the case as the “sinkhole murders.”
