Man counter sues county for $2.5 million in damages

A Cedar Island property owner, against whom the Taylor County Commission filed a foreclosure in April 2012 on unpaid fines resulting from code violations at the property, has filed a counter-claim against the county alleging physical and mental damages in excess of $2.5 million.

The case involves a parcel located at 105 Cedar Island Rd. owned by Timothy Brooks, a resident of Cheboygan, Mich.
