Immigration debate gets personal for one local family

The immigration debate, which captivated the nation before the 2016 election and hasn’t ended since, took a personal turn last week for a family in Perry when Rudy Blanco, a native of Cuba, was detained for deportation.

Blanco was reportedly making a required, scheduled visit with immigration authorities when he was taken into custody and transported to the Wakulla County Jail.
