    NOTICE
    NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners, Taylor County, Florida, did at their regular meeting held on Monday, June 5, 2017, after due and proper Notice of Public Hearing, close and abandon the certain portions of or parts of the streets, alleys, or roads, located in Taylor County Florida, on behalf of the William M. Waller, whose address is 3888 Tar Kiln Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32223, as evidenced by the below Resolution in compliance with Chapter 336.10 Florida Statutes:
    RESOLUTION
    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF TAYLOR COUNTY, FLORIDA:
    1. That, pursuant to the Notice of Proceedings for Closing of Streets duly published according to law, proof of publication of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, a hearing was duly held at 6:05 o’clock p.m. on the 5th day of June, A.D. 2017, to consider and determine whether or not the County would vacate, abandon, discontinue, and close certain roads in Taylor County, Florida, more particularly described in the proof of publication attached hereto. At the time and place set for said hearing, all persons interested were given the opportunity to be heard. The Board of County Commissioners of Taylor County, Florida, determined that the proposed action of vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, and closing certain roads herein more particularly described will not deprive any person of a reasonable means of ingress and egress to his premises and will not materially interfere with the County’s road system.
    2. That, the certain roads herein described be, and the same is hereby, vacated, abandoned, and discontinued and the Board of County Commissioners hereby renounces and disclaims any right of the County and public in and to any land or interest therein contained in the certain roads in Taylor County, Florida, more particularly described as:
    DESCRIPTION: (Product of Survey)
    Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 105 of the STEINHATCHEE SUBDIVISION, as per the plat thereof recorded in the Official Records of Taylor County Florida and run South 01 degrees 55 minutes 43 seconds East along the west boundary line of a 20 foot alley, 475.97 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 9, of said Block 105 and the north right of way line of Fifth Avenue North; thence run North 88 degrees 25 minutes 25 seconds East, along said right of way line, 20.00 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 10, of said Block 105; thence run North 01 degrees 55 minutes 43 seconds West, 476.07 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 18 of said Block 105; thence run South 88 degrees 08 minutes 54 seconds West along the north boundary line of said Steinhatchee Subdivision, 20.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
    Said parcel contains 0.22 acre, more or less.
    3. This resolution shall take effect when the original hereof, together with a copy of the proof of publication of the adopted Resolution, has been filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court for recording in the Public Records of Taylor County, Florida.

    Taylor County Request for Proposals (RFP)
    Program Administration Services
    FFY 2016 Community Development Block Grant(s) and Related Programs
    Taylor County requests proposals from individuals or firms to provide administration services for grant/loan funded projects for community and economic development. The County anticipates receiving a $750,000 2016 Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for housing rehabilitation. The County may also be interested in applying for other CDBG grants in the future, such as but not limited to Economic Development, Neighborhood Revitalization, or Disaster Recovery as appropriate for the County’s needs. Proposers may submit for one or more categories separately. Similarly, additional services may be included in separate contract(s) for services on an ongoing basis (up to three years) to be covered by other grant, loan or traditional funding sources at the discretion of the Taylor County Board of Commissioners. Such sources of funding shall be sought, developed, and managed by the selected consultant(s), as applicable and available. Such sources of funding may include, but not be limited to : SHIP, FEMA, FDEM, USDOC Economic Development Administration Grants, USDA Rural Development Grants and Low-Interest Loans, Department of Environmental Protection Grants and Low-Interest Loans, Special Appropriations and other applicable grant and low-interest loans through the Federal, State, or other public sources. All proposers must have a thorough understanding of and experience with grants and funding requiring compliance with 2 CFR 200, Florida Single Audit Act requirements as defined in OMB Circular A133 and Section 215.97 F.S., Florida Building Codes, URA Compliance, Davis-Bacon Record-Keeping requirements, and all applicable federal and state compliance standards and regulations required to conform with CDBG grants management guidelines and reporting. Additional information concerning the proposed services being requested and the ranking criteria to be used to evaluate the proposals may be obtained from Melody Cox or Jami Boothby at (850) 838-3553 or at melody.cox@taylorcountygov.com. Written requests may be made to Taylor County Grants Department, 401 Industrial Park Drive, Perry, FL, 32348. The RFP will also be posted on the County’s website at www.taylorcountygov.com. An original and five (5) copies of sealed proposals, marked “SEALED PROPOSAL FOR GRANT SERVICES”, must be received by 4:00 P.M. on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Taylor County Clerk of Courts, 108 N. Jefferson Street, Perry, FL, 32347. The bids will be opened on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 6:00 P.M., at a regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting in the Commission Board Room located at 201 E. Green Street, Perry, FL, 32347. In accordance with Section 287.133, FS, a person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a proposal on a contract to provide services to a public entity.
