Mr. Barney “Sonny” O’Quinn III, 63, passed away on July 12, 2017 at the Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park. Sonny was born November 27, 1953 in Perry, Florida to Barney O’Quinn Jr. and Bobbie Ann Ricketson O’Quinn.
Sonny retired from Buckeye after 30 years. He was an avid Gator fan; he also loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents Barney O’Quinn Jr. and Bobbie Ann Ricketson O’Quinn.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Sandra O’Quinn; children: Laurie Lilliott (Hud), a loyal companion Bo; three grandchildren: Taylor, Hayden and Clara Jane LIlliott; siblings Ann Colson of Wesley Chapel, FL, Harriett Davis (Kirk) of Tallahassee, Retta Williams (Neal) of Perry, and Hardy O’Quinn (Linda) of Perry as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Jack Jones and Gary Brett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Good Samaritan Center of Dowling Park. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
