Taylor County United Way kicked off its 25th annual campaign Oct. 11 with a special breakfast gathering held at First United Methodist Church. Campaign Chair Jan Walker announced a $200,000 goal for this year.
A $39,000 check presented on behalf of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley mill helped jumpstart the campaign, as well as a donation from local middle schoolers who collected “a quarter a day for United Way.”
