City votes to ‘Just say no’

With its current moratorium on medical cannabis dispensaries set to expire in November, the Perry City Council is considering a move to “just say no” to the emerging industry outright.

“It (medical cannabis) is here, the question is do you want to prevent businesses (locating here) that dispense it,” Perry Police Department (PPD) Jamie Cruise said during the council’s regular Oct. 10 meeting.
