Steinhatchee to get sheriff’s substation

“It looks like Steinhatchee will be getting a substation!” Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett exclaimed as he left Tuesday’s county commission meeting.

Padgett threw his hands in the air in celebration after the board voted 5-0 to allow him to proceed with a long-term goal of setting up a Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) substation in the Steinhatchee area.
