Excessive speed a factor in motorcycle vs. car crash

Excessive speed was a factor in a late evening crash involving a motorcycle and a car that happened Friday in front of the Save-A-Lot shopping center.

“The posted speed limit in the area is 40 miles per hour. Unofficial estimates indicate that the driver of the motorcycle was traveling at nearly twice the posted speed,” Perry Police Department (PPD) Capt. Gene Franklin said.
