Bad debt, charity care and indigent care continue to be among the largest problems facing Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH), according to an annual audit report presented to county commissioners at the board’s Nov. 20 meeting.
The audit report presented by certified public accounting firm Draffin & Tucker showed that DMH posted an operating loss of $2.9 million for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2017.
