    Lane Culpepper Sadler

    Lane “Tom Cat” Culpepper Sadler, 56, died July 31, 2017, in Perry. Lane was born July 21, 1961, in Perry to Lois Culpepper Sadler and Nora Lee Buckhalter Sadler.
    Lane was of the Baptist faith. He worked with the logging industry as a truck driver for 30 years.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Culpepper Sadler and Nora Lee Buckhalter Sadler, and two sisters, Ena Gail Sadler and Mary Lee Winnie.
    Lane is survived by: sons, Lane “CJ” Sadler Jr. and Charles Thompson, both of Perry; four daughters, Leah Sadler Slagle and Lacey Sadler, both of Buena Vista, Va., Glenda “Marie” Wilson of Knoxville, Tenn., and Carol Weatherly of Perry; four brothers, Ralph J. Sadler, Wayne Sadler, Louis Sadler and Ronnie Sadler, all of Perry; sister, Nelda Bell of Perry; and 15 grandchildren as a well as a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Cricket Watson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 5-6 p.m. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
