Mary Fife Hunter Paramore, 90, died Friday, Aug. 4, in Gainesville after a short illness.
Mary was born Oct. 20, 1926, in Ailee, Ga., to James Carl Fife and Leila Thelma Beaty Fife.
Mrs. Paramore was of the Baptist faith. Mary worked with Winn Dixie as a cashier for more than 20 years before retiring in 1976. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Mrs. Paramore loved church and was an active member. She loved to spend time with her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Paramore; her parents, James Carl Fife and Leila Thelma Beaty Fife; a brother, Joe Fife; and a sister, Juanita Hunter.
Mrs. Paramore is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Dyal, Ramona White and Margaret Lundy (Lamar); a brother, Bill Fife; a sister, Leila Allen; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Lundy officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:30-2 p.m., at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
