    Janice Arleen Pennanen

    Mrs. Janice Arleen Pennanen died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, in Madison.
    Janice was born in Miami to William Clinton Green and Marjorie Mary Lingo Green.
    Jan worked as a stewardess and she owned a day care for many years. She was an artist and loved to oil paint. She would decorate store windows in town with Christmas scenes. She also enjoyed gardening and sailing. Jan loved to laugh and make jokes with her friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clinton Green and Marjorie Mary Lingo, and brother, Marvin Clinton Green.
    She is survived by: her loving husband, Bill Pennanen; six children,
    Mike, Mark, Maureen, Tom, Cherie and Denise; 10 grandchildren, Casey, Cristy, Scott, Zachary, Elizabeth, Steven, Kyle, Taylor, John Henry and Andrew; seven great grandchildren: Colton, Bristol, Brielle, Riley, Luke, Jonathan and Layla; and sisters Jennie, Melinda, Melissa, Melanie and Marcia.
    Jan preferred not to have a funeral service. Family and friends will gather Saturday, Aug. 12, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry from 5-7 p.m. to share memories.
