    Joseph Henry Buhler

    Joseph Henry Buhler Jr., 54, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017. Joe was born May 13, 1963, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Joseph Henry Buhler and Carol Maloney Buhler. He honorably served as a firefighter/paramedic. He began as a volunteer when he was just 15 working with his father, who was a firefighter in Philadelphia. He served Brevard County Fire Rescue, Palm Bay Fire Rescue and was one of three paramedics who were the founders of Advanced Life Support Services of Palm Bay. He met his wife, Patricia, while working in Malabar as an EMS captain.
    Joe and Patricia met in 2001 while working together and eventually married in 2003.
    He was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Buhler. Joe is survived by: his wife of 14 years, Mrs. Patricia Buhler; daughter, Kristian Marie Buhler; daughter, Dallas Denmark (Thomas); son, John Buhler; son, Travis Self (Christina); daughter, Jessi Casella (Richard); and twin daughters, Abigail and Rebekah Buhler; grandchildren, Amanda Jayde and Uriah Self; his parents, Joseph Buhler Sr. and Carol; two sisters, Jean Strickland and Jennifer Eiland (Carlis); two nieces, Alexis Eiland and Kailey Strickland; and one nephew, Andrew Eiland.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God of Perry with Bro. David Stephens and Bro. Ben Kimmell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today (Friday) at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
    All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account at Wells Fargo Bank for his daughters, Abigail and Rebekah.
