Betty “Mawmaw” Mae Parker, 81, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017. Mawmaw was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Huntington, West Va., to George Collins and Marie Barrett Collins.
She worked with the publicandtouchedalotof lives.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by: her husband, James Ira Parker Sr., her parents, George Collins and Marie Barrett, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by: four children, Debra Sadler (Howard); Terrie Granthum (Tommy); Jimmy Parker (Tina) and Leeann Tomlinson (Eddie); one sister Sarah Gardiner; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Crosspoint Baptist Fellowship with Bro. Eddie Pridgeon and Bro. David Stephens officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
