Mr. York is survived by: his daughter, Mary Ann Walker; grandson, Cody Walker and Erica Knight; his sister, Linda York; a niece, Martha Jean Weldon; and a nephew, Jayme (Crystal) Barlow; as well as a host of great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with nephew Donnie Pittman and Pastor Jeff Stading officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been established to assist the family with expenses.
