    Alma Louise McNeese

    Mrs. Alma Louise McNeese, 85, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017.
    Alma was born April 4, 1932, in Gulf Hammock to Orville Chris Stalans and Lessie Irene Markham Stalans.
    Alma enjoyed crafting, gardening and refurbishing furniture. Her most important focus in life was her faith in God and serving Him by sharing her faith with others and helping the needy. Her goal was to ensure that all of her family would be ready to meet the Lord. She was willing to do whatever it took to be what God called her to be.
    Alma was preceded in death by: her husband, John Thomas “John T” McNeese; her parents, Orville Chris Stalans and Lessie Irene Markham; and her son, Freddie McNeese.
    She is survived by: her children, Cindy McNeese Brown, Selina McNeese Cone and her husband Derryl, and Kohatha McNeese Campbell; daughter-in-law, Diane “Dink” McNeese; grandchildren, Vance Touchton, Keith Touchton, Shane McNeese (Shelby), Cody McNeese (Joni), Amanda Cone Tharp (Bobby), April Cone Snyder (Chris), Ashley Cone Burrell (Christopher), Charley Campbell Deming (Clark); 10 great grandchildren; and three brothers, Jack, David and Tommy Stalans; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Cody McNeese and Brother Vance Touchton officiating.
    Interment services will follow immediately afterward in San Pedro Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m.
