Excell Powe

Excell Powe, 86, died Oct. 5, 2017.
Excell was born July 26, 1931 in Silas, Ala., to Vivian and Petis Powe.
In 1957, Mr. Powe moved from Silas to Mayo to pursue employment opportunities in the lumber industry. In 1972, he and his family moved to Perry.
Excell was preceded in death by: his wife, Irene Jones-Powe; parents, Vivian and Petis Powe; brothers, Clinton and Samuel; and children, Napoleon, Theresa and Tracy.
He is survived by: sons, Excell Jr., Leo, David, Frederick and Timothy; and daughters, Cendie and Mary.
The family will receive friends today (Friday), from 5-7 p.m., at Trinity Funeral Home of Perry. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Little Galilee Holiness Church in Mayo. Internment services will immediately follow at Mayo Gardens Cemetery in Mayo.
All arrangements are under the direction of Trinity Funeral Home of Perry.
