Robert Eagle Jr., 83, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital.
Robert was a member of Stewart Memorial AME Church where he was a steward and trustee.
He retired from the Department of Transportation (operation and maintenance support level II).
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Daisy Henderson and Robert Eagle Sr., and sisters, Catherine Williams and Jannie Miller.
He is survived by: his wife, Alberta Brant Eagle; daughters, Daisy May Eagle, Valerie Brant- Wilson and Wendell Dumas; brother, Irvin Anderson; sister, Abbie D. Robinson; grandchildren, Eric D. Broomes, Bragen Broomes, Summar Dumas, Nate William Dumas and Quentin Dumas; and great-grandchildren, Eric D. Broomes III, Bragen Broomes Jr. and Alana Broomes.
The family will receive friends today (Friday) from 5-6 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home of Perry.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at Stewart Memorial AME Church in Perry. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stewart Memorial AME Church’s bus ministry.
