Margaret Peacock Schneider

Margaret Peacock Schneider, 86, of Cross City, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2017.
Mrs. Schneider was born Sept. 8, 1931, to the late George and Myrtle Peacock. She grew up in Horseshoe Beach and was a lifelong resident of Dixie County. Mrs. Schneider liked to talk about politics and read in her spare time. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Chiefland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Carl “Charlie” Schneider.
Mrs. Schneider is survived by: her daughters, Gini Schneider “Overstreet” of Cross City, Carla Coward (Tommy) of Macclenny and Karen Hires (Rodney) of Cross City; grandchildren, Joshua Hires (Mandy) of Cross City, Daniel Hires (Amanda) of Cross City, Cameron Coward (Amy) of Ponte Vedra and Lena Kay Hodges (Brandon) of Macclenny; and great- grandchildren, Rhett, Quincey, Harley, Lane, Race, Ridge, Emily, River and Madden along with other extended family members.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel with Pastor Bobby Lindsey officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday, Nov. 6, from 6-8 p.m.
