Brett Douglas King

Brett Douglas King, 33, died Nov. 18, 2017. Brett was born Aug. 9, 1984, in Thomasville, Ga., and was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County.
Brett was chief deputy property appraiser for the Jefferson County Property Appraiser. He was a member of the Jefferson County Country Club, enjoyed golfing, fishing and was an avid Florida State Football fan.
He is survived by: his wife, Ashley Carroll King; his father, Jerry Douglas King; mother, Sarah Reams King (Bill); father-in-law Troy Carroll; and mother- in-law Kim Carroll.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at Lamont Baptist Church in Lamont. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Internment will follow the service at the Walker Cemetery in Madison County.
All arrangements are under the direction of Beggs Funeral Home of Monticello.
