Gracie M. York Clark, 85, died at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on Dec. 2, 2017 following a brief illness. Gracie was born Dec. 26, 1931 in Perry to Lester York and Lillie Ward York.
She was a graduate of Taylor County High School and a lifelong homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. In her spare time Gracie enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.
Gracie was preceded in death by: her parents; and a daughter, Sarah Francis Knight.
She is survived by: three daughters, Edna Knight Hill, and husband Ronnie, Betty Jo Knight Croft, and husband Tommy, all of Perry, and Carol Clark Flores, of Dallas, TX.; two sons, Mike Knight, and Jesse Clark, and wife Rhonda, all of Perry; one sister, Macie Crain Hill, of Perry; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) Dec. 6 in the Burns Funeral Home Chapel of Perry with Bro. Eric Justice officiating. Interment will follow afterwards in Shiloh Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
