Blaine “Cass” Castelucci, 82, of Elkhart, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born July 27, 1935 in Harmony, Pa. to Thomas and Pearl (Harter) Castelucci.
“Cass” was a US Army veteran, a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene, Kane Masonic Lodge #181, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend and the Mizpah Shrine Club. He owned many racecars and enjoyed racing at Thunder Valley racetrack in Union, Mich. “Cass” worked for the Moose Lodge in Elkhart, was the former owner of the Sub Shoppe in Elkhart and was the owner and founder of the Dually Depot in Elkhart until 2012. On Nov. 5, 1955 in Brighton, Pa. he married Louella A. “Lou” Sutter.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Allan; and nine siblings.
He is survived by: his wife, Louella A. “Lou” Castelucci; a son, Phillip (Angie) Castelucci of Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, Dec. 10 from 2-5 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home of Elkhart, Ind. Kane Masonic Lodge will conduct a masonic memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 4:30 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.
Additional visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 11 from 10-11 a.m. at the Northside Church of the Nazarene of Elkhart, Ind.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at Northside Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Tim Sheets will preside and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.
