Higher student counts equal $$$

The Taylor County School District expects to see an increase of roughly $250,000 in funding around the end of December, thanks to a bump in local student counts.

Taylor County schools took a full-time equivalent (FTE) student survey in October that determines whether the funding for the current school year will be adjusted either up or down.
