A violent criminal offender who eluded arrest for four months was apprehended Tuesday after leading officers on what was best described as a “low speed chase” that never topped speeds of 60 miles per hour.
Michael Forbes, 30, is being held at the Taylor County Jail on a dozen charges, including: violation of conditional release, possession of cocaine (two counts), possession of a controlled substance (two counts), possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing/attempting to elude, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with evidence, possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
