Taylor County has once again maintained its community flood rating, meaning those with National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policies can receive up to a 15 percent discount if they live in certain flood-prone areas.
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Mitigation Division Director Jesse F. Munoz recently notified county officials that they have once again qualified as a Class 7 community.
