Four arrested; over $2,000 in counterfeit bills seized

Two Perry Police Department (PPD) officers found themselves in the right place at the right time Wednesday to capture four suspects who were allegedly passing counterfeit $100 bills at businesses throughout Perry.

Ptl. Jason Bass and Ptl. Koven Phelps stopped at Walgreens around 3 p.m. to make a purchase; when they entered the store, the manager approached them and asked them to look at a $100 bill an individual had just handed the clerk.
