Linda M. MacKee

Linda M. MacKee, 74, died Dec. 4, 2017 in Perry. Linda was born Sept. 23, 1943 in Tallassee, Ala. to Earl Dean Mann and Mary Ila Patterson Mann.

Ms. MacKee was of the Methodist faith and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Perry. Linda worked with Taylor County Clerk of Courts as a deputy clerk for several years. Previously, she was a teacher’s aide at Buck Lake Elementary in Tallahassee. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, making arts and crafts, and decorating her home.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents, Earl Dean and Mary Mann; and her sister, Beth Mann.

Ms. MacKee is survived by: her daughters, Allison Montgomery (Stewart) and Amanda Peterson (Pete); five sisters, Deanna Lamb, Cathy Mann, Betty Mann, Becky Mann, and Elyse Haug; three grandchildren, Philip Montgomery, Celia Peterson, and Adam Peterson; and one great granddaughter, EdenGrace Montgomery; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.ma. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
