Mary Kathryn Brillhart Smith

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19 at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church. Father Jerry Smith of Holy Comforter officiated. Beggs Funeral Home handled funeral arrangements.

Mary Kathryn was born in Price, Utah on Aug. 2, 1949 and graduated from Taylor County High School. She also attended Florida State University and received a B.A. in English.

She married her husband Ray Smith on Dec. 2, 1972. They were married for 32 years before he passed away in 2005.

She worked for The State of Florida for over 30 years. For her dedication she received a Resolution of Commendation and the Distinguished Service Award. She enjoyed reading, shopping and being a world traveler. She served as a member of the Vestry, Sunday Worship Team, and was on the Altar Guild at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church.

Mary Kathryn is survived by: her daughter, Amy S. Lowe, husband Bryan; and a host of beloved friends.
