New Superintendent of Schools Danny Glover Jr. oversaw a busy year within the Taylor County School District, including breaking ground on a new Perry Primary School, a massive administrative restructuring, overhauls to the discipline matrix and school dress code, as well as a tighter budget and increase in enrollment numbers.
In April, the school board unanimously approved a new standard of dress for the district, rolling back the existing requirements that students wear solid-colored shirts in either Bulldog blue, Bulldog orange or white.
