Martha Lajean Sadler, 57, died Dec. 25, 2017, at her home surrounded by family and friends. LaJean was born Feb. 12, 1960, in Perry to Sidney Albert Russell and Ila Margaret Aman Russell.
LaJean was an amazing mother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed fishing, riding in the woods and loved Native American history and was an Indian artifact collector. She also loved gardening, planting grape vines, fruit trees and flowers.
LaJean was preceded in death by: her parents, Sidney Albert Russell and Ila Margaret Aman; and one sister, Vivian Colleen Russell.
She is survived by: her husband of 22 years, Allen Sadler; seven children, Jason Wall, Megan Rowell, Nicholas Sadler, Kira Lynn Sadler, Becky Strickland, Michael Sadler and Shea Sadler; one brother, Brian Russell; grandchildren, Sarah Jean Couey, Madelyn Rowell, David Miles, Levi Strickland; one niece, Shea Williams; and her best friend, Dawnese Sessoms.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) Dec. 29, 2017, at 12 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Lundy officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. today (Friday) Dec. 29, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
