Cecil Stephen Nettles, 65, died after an extended illness on Jan. 27, 2018, in Gainesville. Steve was born Sept. 6, 1952, in Shelby, Ohio to Cecil Nettles and Louise Crain Nettles.
Steve loved to hunt and was a member of Camp Misery Hunting Club. He also enjoyed just riding through the woods and riding his bicycle.
Steve was preceded in death by: his parents, Cecil Nettles and Louise Crain.
He is survived by: his fiance, Marie Cooper; children, Gary Nettles, Frankie Cooper, Jada Cooper, Nina Cooper, and Austin Cooper; three grandchildren, Kala Nettles, Hanna Nettles, and Makenzie Nettles; seven great grandchildren; and one brother, Randy Nettles.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Nobles officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
