“Now You See Me” is an ensemble thriller about a group of magicians who are seemingly able to commit crimes anywhere in the world while on the stage performing their act.
Directed by Louis Leterrier (“The Transporter,” “The Incredible Hulk”), the film is both a wild ride filled with action chases and fights, as well as a mind-bender of a puzzle which pits the audience against the magicians to figure out not only how they’re doing their tricks, but also who is pulling the strings.
Beyond the mysteries, the movie isn’t especially deep and the characters don’t get much fleshing out, but the actors give great performances to make this an exciting and engaging adventure that will keep you guessing until the end.
The film is rated PG-13 for language, some action and sexual content.
