Ruby Lee Love Austin

Ruby Lee Love Austin, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at UF Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville.

Ruby was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Perry. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Ruby lived a full life serving and working for the Taylor County School Board.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Rosa and J.B. Love; and her brothers, Lester Evans, Charles Gent, and Carl Love.

Ruby is survived by: her sons, Tony Austin of Tampa and Aric Austin of Perry; her daughter, Monica Austin of Chicago; her brothers, Lewis Love, Willie Gent, Ernest Gent, Henry Gent and Ronald Moon; her sisters, Lillie Gent, Joann Nelson and Barbara Gent; her grandchildren, Adrick Arnold of Perry, Scott Tharpe Jr. of Atlanta and Akirah Thor of Chicago; and her three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, followed by a private interment. The family will receive friends today, (Wednesday) from 3-7 p.m., at Evans-Walker Funeral Home.
