Robert James Bowden

Robert James Bowden, 61, died Feb. 1, 2018, in Perry. Robert was born on Oct. 24, 1956, in Jacksonville to Robert Haywood Bowden and Katherine Sammataro Bowden.

Robert worked as a Journeyman Electrician, IBEW Local Union #1205 for over 40 years.

Robert was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert Haywood Bowden and Katherine Sammataro Bowden; and his brother, William “Billy” Bowden.

Robert Bowden is survived by: his son, CJ Bowden of Perry; his three sisters, Camille and her husband Lynn Rawls of Tallahassee, Ann and her husband Clayton Huff of Perry, and Nancy Ann Bowden of Perry; his brother, Mike Bowden of El Cajon, Calif.; and his three grandchildren, Jasmine Marie, James Mitchell and Jonathan Michael Bowden; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 3 p.m. at Pineview Memorial Gardens with Tim Tummond officiating. The family received friends Monday, Feb. 5, from 6-8 p.m. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. Active pallbearers: Walt Hicks, Freddie Joe Sharpton, Clay Huff, Cody Bowden, Nicholas Rawls and Jason Rawls. Honorary pallbearers: James Bowden and Jasmine Bowden.
