Nadine Russell Lynn is no stranger to work. As a teenager, she worked the 5-10 p.m. shift at the Country Kitchen restaurant every day after school. Her parents, Henry and Murrel Russell, made arrangements so she could be off when she had a basketball game to play.
Bruce Lynn was also a worker. Orphaned at a young age, he split his time between his two sisters’ homes – one lived in Alabama and the other married a man from the small logging town of Carbur…which was located just a few miles north of Nadine’s hometown of Salem.
