Taylor County duo helps Mayo back to Final 4

The Lafayette County Lady Hornets’ girls basketball team will make a second straight trip to the Florida high school basketball Final Four thanks to a coach and player with Taylor County ties.

The Mayo girls cruised to a 56-38 victory over Hawthorne in the regional finals Tuesday night to earn their second straight trip to Lakeland to compete for a state championship.
