While students and teachers are enjoying the beginning of summer break, a select group of Taylor County School District employees are kicking off a permanent vacation and sinking their toes into well-deserved retirement.
School board members recently recognized some 15 retiring teaches, bus drivers, custodians and counselors—who boasted a combined service record of 376 years.
